JACKSONVILLE — Several of the children and youth that have been learning the game of tennis at the Jacksonville Parks and Recreation Department/Jacksonville Tennis Association’s Free Tennis Lessons program this summer pose along side the Buckner Park tennis courts for a group photo earlier this month. The classes are open to children between the ages of seven and 10 (9-10:00 a.m.) and to youth ages 11-14 (10-11:00 a.m.).
The Buckner Park classes will continue today and on July 5 with one more session slated for Lincoln Park (July 6). The Lincoln Park classes will run at the same time as the classes at Buckner Park. There is no charge for the classes and tennis racquets are provided. The classes are taught by volunteers David Hanna and Chuck Roper.
